Winslow Scouts Carry On Scouting

It’s been tough out there, but here at Winslow Scouts we’ve carried on delivering Scouting!

When everything kicked off, we got online and ran a fantastic programme to engage the Scouts.
Then we got to meet face-to-face again, as long as we socially distance!

We’ve taken this seriously and this has allowed us to get all of our Sections back meeting at the Scout Hut, safely, to start enjoying the excitement of a face-to-face program again.
We kicked off with camp fires, cooking and hiking, but there is much more to come. Did we mention we’re just getting started?

Winslow Scouts have been welcoming new members through-out the lock down – don’t worry though, there are still spaces for you!!
We accept people from age 6 upwards, even once you’re over 18 – we still have a space for you to enjoy the adventures.

We’ve got plenty more planned and we want you to come and be part of it. We’re still making sure that Scouts and Volunteers alike, get the opportunity to learn and develop skills.
Plus it never hurts to have a change of scenery – those 4 walls are pretty familiar now, even the ones that have been hit with DIY through-out your time at home! Oh, don’t forget there’s a badge for that!

One thing that we recognise, is that Scouting across the Country has been very fortunate. It has been identified as an important service, due to the physical and mental well-being it offers to its members.
So for this reason, we’ll keep doing all we can to make Scouting Fun, Safe and Engaging – hopefully we’ll see you there!
