Skills for Life

Based in Winslow as part of the Buckingham and Winslow District, we have been providing fun activities and expeditions for many hundreds of children and young people for over 35 years.

Welcome to 1st Winslow

Every week over 140 young people aged 6-14 from Winslow and the surrounding area take part in a wide range of adventures and activities as part of our top quality Scouting programme provided by our experienced Leadership team, fully supportive Group Exec and our Section Leaders.

The 1st Winslow Scout Group was started in Winslow in the 1920s and our thriving and active Beaver, Cub and Scout Packs are managed by a dedicated leadership team who produce exciting and dynamic programmes for young people of the area, teaching life skills as well as having plenty of fun along the way through a variety of regular meetings, camping trips and day activities.

Adult volunteers

The Scouts award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
